problems. Whilst not
Chartered, Technicians can use letters such as TICE after their name. |

Associate
Member |

Whilst
not
Chartered, Associates are very capable of solving engineering
problems and can use designatory letters (eg AMIStructE). Likely to
be degree qualified, they may also be Incorporated Engineers (IEng). |

Member
(Chartered Engineer). |

A
Chartered Engineer (CEng) also uses letters such as MICE. Senior
engineering personnel will usually be Members of an Engineering
Institution (and thus Chartered). Most, but not all, Chartered
Engineers are in the Member grade. |
